Did you know that when a book is published the traditional way, it gets at least four reads? First, an editor reads the book, then it goes to a copyeditor, then back to the author for yet another read so they can approve the copy edits. Then the book is transformed to a galley–that’s a printed out version of what the book will look like when it’s published. The author goes through the galley carefully, finds even more mistakes, and gives final approval. And with all that, many books still have typos or small errors.
While the editors at ebookeditingpro.com are very good, we know that for those authors who are truly dedicated to putting out the absolute best product, a second read from a professional editor would be wonderful. That’s why we’ve decided to offer a flat fee FINAL EDIT for $150 (That’s for any book more than 35,000 words. If your book is less than that, we’ll negotiate. And if it’s more than 100,000 words, we may charge a bit more). We will only offer the flat fee editing service for those books edited first by our service. The second read will be edited by a second editor, so that your book gets a fresh read. We still want our authors to go through the books carefully before publishing. If you were being published in New York, you’d be expected to.
Even with the added $150, our prices are still lower than many editing services. We leave it up to you whether you want that second edit. Just e-mail us and let us know you want the extra service.
